since che is in singapore for her conference and she’s staying at swissotel the stamford, andrea and i decided to crash over at the hotel room for the night. (SO COMFORTABLE) anyway, since we were staying over, mum asked us to go to prego and buy the pastries/bread. after 2130, all the bakery items go on 50% off, so after dinner at pepper lunch (very tasty) we went to marvelous cream in city link mall near the suntec exit to get our dose of ice cream.
-side issue- i’m still wondering why there are no loyalty cards for that place. andrea and i have been there 4 times in the past month.
back to the main issue: so after dinner and dessert we walked over to prego. this was about 2115 and there were already people in the line. so i waited in line while che and andrea sat down on the couch and waited. then when the waitress started to take orders the first lady ordered (get this): -ahem-
6 loaves of bread
3 beef pies
3 chicken pies
2 foot-long sandwiches
1 large cake (probably for a birthday)

i was like omg HELLO and was wondering whether she was so self-absorbed that she was completely oblivious to the 6-7 other people waiting behind her. in total she had 7 large prego plastic bags to carry away and every in the line was so pissed off, myself included.
che and andrea were at the side commenting (rather loudly) SO SELFISH. this woman is such a pig. it didn’t occur ot me then, but i would have gladly told her, “you’re fat enough already, lady.” or started oinking where i was standing. she practically cleared the bread shelf and i only wanted 1 loaf of bread. 1! there was this really nice nutty loaf that mum likes a lot and the 2nd woman took it. that was when che and andrea said to forget it and to cut our losses.
omg. but that woman probably had some party the next day and she wanted to serve her guests stale bread. MAYBE she was having curry and she wanted to serve her guests “gourmet”, albeit stale, bread. but seriously, unless she’s running a marathon the next day, i didn’t think she would have to carb-load to that extend. or maybe she has a really grubby carb-crunching family at home who do nothing but eat stale bread. or maybe they keep the bread for days to make it stretch. even if it gets mouldy, IT’S OK! because they got it at 50% off AND AND they managed to deprive 6-7 other people of that opportunity to eat that nice prego bread. i hope they get fat. like maybe before all these people come in, they will inject a large number of theirpastries with butter and then place it at the front of all the shelves, so that the greediest will get all these butter-pumped pastries and will get fatter and have more lard accumulate in them that they already have.
stupid cow. omg she spent $58 on bread and cakes after th 50% off. she was probably waiting in line for more than an hour, plastering her face to the glass to choose which ones she wanted. i hope she becomes fat and unattractive. that will teach her a thing or 2 about consideration for other people.
